Projecting a research to business path, women empowerment for Agri-food in Cyprus

The Cyprus University of Technology is organizing the Final Pitching Event for the presentation of 9 business ideas in the agri-food sector.

The event will take place in Lemesos, on December 8th, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the “Tassos Papadopoulos” Building at the Cyprus University of Technology, within the framework of the European Empowering Woman in Agrifood Program which is carried out in collaboration with EIT Food.

The EWA Project (Empowering Women in Agrifood) is an intensive 2-month program that aims to provide 9 female entrepreneurs with the knowledge, confidence, support and networking opportunities they need to exceed their ambitions and successfully create sustainable businesses . During the project, 9 groups were selected and received mentoring services aimed at maturing their business ideas.

During the event, the business ideas, as they have been formed, will be presented. A relevant award ceremony for the two best and networking will follow. The jury will be attended by executives from academia, the business world as well as representatives of financial institutions.
