Pressed to press – white grapes resisting the heat in Cyprus
Vlassides Winery officially starts harvest
Kilani 01.08.2017. Having brought in grapes all morning, early forecast estimates that production will fall by about 10% due to the sustained heat in July due to the above average temperature of 2ºC degrees higher than the previous two years.
Sauvignon Blanc variety being a signature variery and early starter for Vlassides winery, a modest, but good year is expected, and anticipating a cooler August with more favorable conditions to help with maturation of later varieties.
